Mumbai, Jul 28: Filmmaker Prakash Jha's upcoming flick ‘Aarakshan’ which deals with caste system and reservation issues has finally been approved by the Censor Board with a U/A certificate.

The U/A certificate was awarded to the film after an examining committee, set up with representatives from the Dalit, OBC, SC and ST community, reviewed the movie.

The movie was earlier under the media scanner after the National Commission for Minorities and National Commission of Scheduled Castes and Dalit bodies had sought a special screening to confirm that the film did not misinterpret the constitutional provision for reservations of the socially backward classes. But Jha refused saying that he would show the special screening to the Censor Board only.

The movie starring Amitabh Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone in lead is scheduled to release on August 12.
