Mangaluru: Srinivas Hospital conducts free medical camp

Mangaluru, Aug 1: The Samatha Ladies Club organized a free medical camp on July 30 at Sharadha Vidhayalaya High School, Mangaluru, which was conducted by Srinivas Hospital Mukka Surathkal, and had Vijayalakshmi R Rao (The Trustee member of Board of Governors, Srinivas University) as their guest.

Dr David M Rosario (Medical Superintendent of Srinivas Hospital) was the day's chief guest, accompanied by Dr Anitha Sequeira (HOD of General Medicine), Dr Reshma (dean of Dental Science), and Vandhana (president of Samatha Club Mangalore). The beautiful event started with the lighting of the lamp accompanied by a devotional song, followed by a warm welcome from Vandhana.

Dr David Rosario, the medical superintendent, provided insights regarding the free medical camp and extended a welcome to all the attendees. The free medical check-up included all speciality departments, dental screening, and physiotherapy facilities, with medicines distributed freely as per the patients' requirements.

The event was hosted and concluded by Kanakavlli H, the joint secretary of Samatha Club.

    It is a humanitarian work and needs to be praised by all. Confidentiality of records (if aby) that are kept, has to be safeguarded. Wish there are annual clinics of that kind in all cities and groups of villages, and even in the socalled rich countries like Canada and the US where patient care is awful and doctors only look after their bottom line.
