Udupi: Jenisha Lobo of Pangla secures first place at International Karate Championship

Udupi, Aug 7: Jenisha Lobo of Pangla Parish secured first place at the International Karate Championship held at Shimoga on August 5-6.
 
Jenisha is trained by Shihan Suresh Acharya of Shankerpura. She is the proud daughter of Joseph and Neema Lobo of Shankerpura parish.
 
The international championship was held at Nehru Indore Stadium Shimoga. Around 2000 international and national karate fighters participated in the event. Jenisha secured gold in kumite brown belt category.
 





 
Earlier, she had won a gold medal in the national level karate tournament held on July 15-16 in Udupi Rajangana. She had participated in kata and kumite category and had won third place in kumite and first place in kata category. Jenisha has been winning silver and bronze medals in various karate competitions organized at national, state and district levels over the years.
 
Currently, Jenisha is pursuing her degree education in Udupi women's degree college. She is aiming to join civil services in the future.
