Sullia: Renowned cricket player dies of illness

Sullia, Aug 12: Eminent cricket player, who used to represent prestigious cricket teams of the taluk, succumbed to brief illness.

Vasantha Kurunjigudde (39), who used to work as electrician in KVG educational institutions is the deceased.

Vasantha, son of Sullia Kurunjigudde Krishnappa Poojary, was admitted to a private hospital in Mangaluru two days ago as he fell severely ill. He succumbed on the night of Friday.

He is survived by father, mother and two sisters.
