Bantwal: Police arrest drug peddler selling MDMA

Bantwal, Aug 12: A police team under the leadership of Bantwal town sub inspector Ramakrishna arrested a drug peddler who was going by car to sell MDMA drug.

The arrested accused is identified as Mohammed Asir, a resident of Kodikanda, Bolanthur.

Police took custody of four grams MDMA drug and an Alto car valued at about Rs 1.5 lac. The police waylaid the car on suspicion and inspected it as he appeared to have consumed a drug.

Investigation revealed that the accused is a lorry driver by profession. He had procured the drug through an individual in Bengaluru and was going by Alto car to sell it around Mangaluru. Police had grown suspicious by his actions and asked him to stop the car.
