Udupi, Aug 14: Lakshmi Hebbalkar, minister for women’s and children’s welfare and district in-charge minister, expressed her appreciation for the ‘Sanjeevini Supermarket’ started by the members of the Samrudhi Sanjeevini self-help group.

Speaking after inaugurating the supermarket and Aharotsava in the Udupi taluk panchayat premises she said that women may be weaker than men physically but they are mentally stronger than men.

“Sanjeevini supermarket is more amazing than Fab India and Good Earth markets. The Karnataka state government has brought about schemes such

She wished that Sanjeevini supermarkets may be opened in all the districts.

Udupi MLA Yashpal Suvarna, Kaup MLA Suresh Shetty, DC Vidya Kumari, DSP Akshay Hakay, district panchayat CEO Prasanna, sub-divisional officer S R Rashimi, Udupi Congress district president Ashok Kumar Kodavoor, Congress leader Uday Kumar Shetty and block Congress president Ramesh Kanchan were present.
