Mangaluru: Independence Day celebrated at Valencia church

Mangaluru, Aug 15: Church of St Vincent Ferrer, Valencia celebrated India's Independence Day at the church grounds on August 15.

The day began with Holy Mass which was celebrated by assistant parish priest Fr Vijay Monterio along with parish priest Fr Roque Dsa and Fr William Barracas.

 

Flag hoisting ceremony was held after the Mass. The flag was hoisted by Fr Roque DSa. Ex-servicemen were honoured during the occasion.

Fr Roque DSa parish priest, Fr Vijay Monterio assistant parish priest, parish council vice-president Ronald Rodrigues, secretary Rita Menezes and parishioners were during the programme.

Patrick D’Souza compered the programme.
