Udupi, Aug 16: A workshop on photography is scheduled at Udupi Nayarkere IMA Bhavan at 10 am on August 19. The workshop on the eve of world photography day will be sponsored by South Kanara Photographers association under the aegis of Udupi district Patrakartara Sangha Rajata Mahotsava samithi and Patrika Bhavan Samithi.

Rajesh Shetty Alevoor, president of the sangha during the press conference at Udupi said that Malpe coast guard SP Abdul Ahad will inaugurate the workshop. Janardhan Kodavoor, Udupi zonal president of South Kanara photographer’s association, Udupi and entrepreneur Srisha Nayak will inaugurate the show of photographs and the exhibition of old cameras respectively.

Photography workshop will be inaugurated by Udayavani photo journalist Astro Mohan and still film workshop will be inaugurated by Mangaluru Vijaya Karnataka senior assistant editor Susheelendra Katupadi. Rajesh Shetty Alevoor will inaugurate the programme.

More than 50 students of Udupi Ajjarkad first grade college, MGM college, Karkala MPM college and Kundapur Bhandarkars college journalism division will participate in the workshop.

“More than twenty pictures clicked by the members of the sangha, old videos and photo cameras in the collection of members will be on display,” he said.

Rajata Mahotsava Samithi convener Mohammed Sharif, chief secretary Jayakar Suvarna, chief secretary of the sangha Nazir Polya, treasurer Umesh Marpalli, Udupi Patrika Bhavan convener Ajith Aradi were present.
