Bank of Baroda regional office donates cloth bags to Udupi municipal council

Udupi, Aug 17: Bank of Baroda regional office donated cloth bags to the municipal council on the eve of Independence Day in order to minimise use of plastic.

The programme was held with special concern for the environment so that people may give up use of plastic bags and use cloth bags instead. Vidyadhar Shetty, deputy regional manager of Bank of Baroda handed over the cloth bags to Dr Vidyakumari, deputy commissioner of Udupi. The deputy commissioner in turn distributed the cloth bags to the people.

Municipal council commissioner Rayappa, municipal councillors, staff, staff of Bank of Baroda and local people were present.
