Udupi: Women conned Rs 1.13 lac on pretext of providing employment

Udupi, Aug 24: A woman was conned of Rs 1,13,300 by online fraudsters on the pretext of providing part time job.

Richa Sachana (27), resident of the city, got a message on WhatsApp on August 19 from unknown number of 8874836643. The sender promised to provide a part time job and sent a link on Telegram app. In the interim period of August 20 to 21 Rs 1,13,300 was withdrawn from the account of Richa in various transactions.

A case in this connection is filed in CEN police station of the city.
