Belagavi, Sep 2: Dr Naveen Prakash Noronha, who is currently engaged in professional endeavors in Abu Dhabi, has been honored with the PhD degree in the field of mechanical engineering. The recognition comes as a result of his diligent work on his thesis titled 'Optimization of Design Parameters for High Altitude Airborne Wind Power Generation System,' a significant contribution to the field. This accomplishment was conferred upon him by Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), with the guidance and mentorship of Dr M Krishna, head of the department of mechanical engineering at R V College of Engineering, Bengaluru.

Dr Naveen Prakash Noronha's educational journey and accomplishments extend beyond his PhD. He has previously served as the president of the ICYM Central Council, Mangalore diocese, during the period of 2007 to 2008, showcasing his leadership capabilities. Before his current engagement in Abu Dhabi, he held the position of assistant professor in the department of mechanical engineering at both St Joseph Engineering College, Vamanjoor, and R V College of Engineering, Bengaluru.

Dr Noronha hails from Madanthyar and is the second son of Basil Noronha and Jacintha Noronha, and he is the husband of Jasmine Elvita D’Souza. His commitment to education, leadership, and professional growth has been demonstrated through his various roles and achievements.
