Mangaluru, Nov 23: Vishwa Konkani Kendra, Shakti Nagar commemorated the birth anniversary of freedom fighter, the first MP who represented Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts Ullal Srinivas Mallya on November 21, 2023. He was responsible for the establishment of Mangaluru port, Mangaluru airport, national highways railway lines, national technological institute and was instrumental for the all-round growth
of the area.

The statue of the great leader at Padil was garlanded by Vishwa Konkani Kendra on the occasion.

Trustee Dr Mohan Pai gave details of the simple life and service of Srinivas Mallya. President of Vishwa Konkani Kendra and senior auditor Nandagopal Shenoy, vice president Gilbert D’ Souza, treasurer B R Bhat, trustee Ramesh D Nayak, Walter D’ Souza, KCCI president Ananthesh V Prabhu, honorary secretary Ashwin Pai Maroor, Padil corporator Roopa Shree, Kishore Kothary, Venkataramana temple trustee CA Jagannath Kamath, Ullal Vinod Mallya, Navin Nayak, Ganesh Bhat and Dr B Devadas Pai were present.
