Kundapur, Nov 25: Hariprasad Shetty, the president of the Congress in Kundapur Block, strongly criticized Sunil Kumar for not allowing officials to speak at the meeting and for maintaining self-integrity in front of district officials and the public and said, “In the district tri-monthly KDP meeting held on November 24, Karkala MLA V Sunil Kumar criticized the conduct of the district's efficient SP Dr Arun Kumar, in front of district officials and representatives of the public.”

He further said, “During the BJP administration's three-year tenure, Sunil Kumar allegedly appointed officials to key positions in the district, engaging in corruption that the public has not forgotten. While serving Sunil Kumar, the police stations were allegedly under the control of extortionists, club owners, and anti-social forces, denying justice to the honest and the poor.

“After the Congress government came to power, chief minister Siddaramaiah himself appointed the best officers to establish law and order and ensure social justice in the police department.

“I condemn Sunil Kumar’s conduct, who is considered to be a corrupt legislator and minister in the 25 year history of Udupi district through cement, sand, Parashuram Theme Park, Karkala festival scams, and many other scams, at the KDP meeting without allowing an official to speak and not providing social justice,” he stated.
