I congratulate UXCEL for felicitating auto drivers and the Workers Day is also recognised across the world."

Also present on this occasion, Dr A G Jayakrishna, chief cardiothoracic surgeon, Omega Hospital explained that, "If a person's heart stops you wil get three minutes to save his life and there won't be much time to think over it and you have to act immediately. Even if you save a person then it will benefit those individuals and their family. Saving someone's life is a god's gift and there won't be a chance of saving everyone but we should do our work of helping those who need help."

Also present on this occasion Ashok, president, Rickshaw Drivers Association, said that, "You will only get to know the value of Mangaluru rickshaw drivers only if you leave the City. The amount of people who try to loot their customers who tries to mislead by charging more is common in other places and in that the auto drivers of Mangaluru are way better than in other places where you' wil find 1-2 good auto drivers but in Mangaluru out of 100, 99 auto drivers are good and humble human beings.

Even if an outsider comes to Mangaluru they will not think of cheating him, today along with Omega Hospital we have organised to teach auto drivers about life saving first aid treatment, since those are the people who are always on road and hence teaching them how to save people will really benefit the people."

There is over charging for passengers arriving at Mangalore Railway junction. The organisers should have told the auto drivers not to urinate anywhere or everywhere. Sometimes they even enter compounds to urinate.
