India's Economy Grew 6.9 percent in Second Quarter


New Delhi, Nov 30 (IANS): India's economy grew at a much slower 6.9 percent in the second quarter ending September, compared to the 7.7 in the previous quarter.

Official data showed Wednesday as demand slowed and the successive interest rates by the central bank began affecting investment.

The gross domestic product growth was 8.4 percent in the July-September quarter of previous fiscal.
