Srinivas University Institute of management and commerce organises Yoga session on Youth Day

Mangaluru, Jan 16: NSS Unit of BCom department Institute of management and commerce, Srinivas University organised a yoga session on the occasion of youth day on January 11. It was organized to promote physical and mental well-being among students. The event saw enthusiastic participation from 80 students from II BCom HN&CMA who were actively engaged in the activities and embraced the spirit of holistic development.

The programme began with an inspiring address by Dr Venkatesh Amin, who emphasized the importance of yoga in fostering discipline, focus, and a balanced lifestyle. This was followed by a highly engaging session conducted by the resource person, Prof Lalan Kumar, an experienced faculty member and skilled yoga trainer. Prof Kumar guided the participants through a series of yoga postures, breathing techniques, and mindfulness practices, highlighting their benefits for overall health.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the resource person, dean, faculty members, and organizing team for their efforts in making the program a success. The combination of yoga practice and the motivational video left a lasting impression on the students, encouraging them to embrace healthier habits and strive for personal growth in alignment with the ideals of Swami Vivekananda.

The session was organized under the guidance of Dr Venkatesh S Amin, dean, Prof Sharmila S Shetty, HoD of BCom, Prof Yashaswi A Ail-ACCA course co-ordinator, Prof S Seethalaxmi-NSS co-ordinator.
