Mangaluru, Mar 26: The police custody of two South African women, who were arrested by the Mangaluru CCB police in Bengaluru with MDMA drugs worth Rs 75 crore, ended on Monday. They have now been remanded to judicial custody. However, sources indicate that the accused are not cooperating with the investigation.

The arrested women have been identified as Bamba Fanta alias Adonis Jabulile (31) and Olizo Evans alias Abigail Adonis (30), both South African nationals. As they have refused to cooperate during interrogation, the CCB police are now relying on the analysis of available technical evidence to gather further details about the case.

Rs 75 crore drug haul in Bengaluru

On March 14, the two accused had traveled from Delhi to Bengaluru by flight when they were apprehended by Mangaluru CCB police near Electronic City, Bengaluru. Upon searching their two trolley bags, the police found 37.585 kg of MDMA worth Rs 75 crore along with four mobile phones.

With their police custody ending on Monday, they were remanded to judicial custody. "During questioning, they did not provide satisfactory answers. We need to explore alternative methods to gather more information about those behind the MDMA drug network," police sources revealed.

Investigation extends to Delhi and Bengaluru

CCB police have visited Bengaluru and New Delhi to complete legal formalities and further investigation. Following the arrest, drug traffickers operating in the network have become cautious, and their activities appear to have slowed down.

City police commissioner Anupam Agarwal stated, "We are analyzing technical aspects of the case to track down the main suppliers behind this drug network."

Meanwhile, police teams are expanding their probe by reviewing airport CCTV footage and conducting searches at the accused's residences in New Delhi. However, officials confirmed that no significant evidence has been found at their rented accommodations.

Funny things. What is there to not cooperating?Who is here the accused ones and who are investigators. When they are found with illegal drugs ,it is clear ,they have to cooperate,or accept fine and go to jail.No compromise.Police shouldnt leave them out.
