Mangaluru Roller Skating Club wins 5 gold medals at CBSE South Zone Championship

Mangaluru, Aug 31: The Mangalore Roller Skating Club bagged a total of five gold medals at the recently held CBSE South Zone Speed Skating Championship at Palakkad, Kerala, from August 22 to 24.

The championship, hosted by Vyasa Vidya Peethom School, witnessed participation from over 800 skaters representing Kerala, Goa, Maharashtra, and Karnataka.

Among the medal winners, Yuvaraj D Kundar clinched two gold medals, while Tasmayi Shetty, Krithi S Aithal, and Shresta P Shenoy each secured one gold medal.

 

With this achievement, all four skaters have qualified to represent Karnataka in the upcoming CBSE National Skating Championship, scheduled to be held in New Delhi in October.

The skaters were trained under the guidance of Mahesh Kumar and Shravan, coaches of the Mangaluru Roller Skating Club.
