GATA to launch global Tulu script learning classes from Sep 21

Mangaluru, Sep 18: Global Alliance of Tulu Association (GATA), an organization that brings together Tulu leaders from across the world, will launch its first-ever Tulu script learning program on September 21. The inaugural session will be held virtually on the Zoom platform at 7 pm IST.

On this occasion, blessings will be rendered by Odiyoor Swamiji, while senior leaders D K Shetty and Sarvottama Shetty (Abu Dhabi) will participate as guests.

The classes will be conducted by Shreevalli Rai Martell from Florida, USA, and she will be supported by Prabhakar Bhatt (USA), Suresh Poonja (Australia), Shubhashri K M (India), Sarita Arun Shetty (UK), Shruta Shetty (UK), and Chandrahas Shetty (Muscat). Technical support for the programme will be provided by Team Ilesa.

Class schedule: To accommodate participants from different countries, two sessions will be conducted every Saturday:

• Batch 1: 9:00 – 10:00 pm (Saturday, Australia time) / 6:30 – 7:30 am EST
• Batch 2: 10:30 – 11:30 am EST / 8:00 – 9:00 pm IST

A total of 10 classes will be held across 10 Saturdays.

This initiative by GATA to preserve and promote the Tulu language and script has brought immense joy among Tuluvas worldwide.
