Mumbai, Dec 5: Ranveer Singh returned to the big screen on Friday after nearly two years with Aditya Dhar’s high-octane drama Dhurandhar, and the excitement around the release was palpable. Among the first to catch the film in theatres was Deepika Padukone, who wasted no time sharing her glowing review.

Taking to Instagram Stories, Deepika called the 3-hour-34-minute entertainer “worth every minute,” urging fans to head to cinemas immediately. She also showered love on Ranveer, writing that she was “incredibly proud” of him while congratulating the entire team behind the film.

Earlier in the day, Yami Gautam posted an emotional message dedicated to her husband, director Aditya Dhar, and the crew. Calling them “some of the hardest working & gem of people,” she praised Aditya for pouring every ounce of passion and perseverance into Dhurandhar, adding that the film isn’t just closing out 2025 but ushering in 2026 with pride.

Dhurandhar, featuring a powerhouse ensemble cast including Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and R. Madhavan, is believed to draw inspiration from Operation Lyari—a major crackdown on gang networks in Karachi’s Lyari district. With strong early reactions and emotional endorsements from those closest to the film, Dhurandhar has made a striking entry into theatres.
