Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Feb 20: In an unfortunate accident which occurred at Kulur in the city in the wee hours on Sunday February 19, two youths lost their lives. Both the victims were riding on a motor bike, which collided with a parked tanker at Kulur.

Jayaprakash alias Avinash (24) from Daddalkad here, and his friend, Kritik (19), resident of Urwa here, died in the accident. The two were returning to the city after participating in a floodlit cricket match near Jokatte, when the accident occurred.

While Kritik lost his life on the spot, Jayaprakash breathed his last later in a private hospital in the city.

Kritik was the son of Yogish, who was working as a police constable in Kaup, and had lost his life in stone-pelting by miscreants during an entertainment programme at Katapadi recently when on duty.

The motor bike hit a Maruti car coming from the opposite direction, before its rider lost control and hit a stationary tanker, it is gathered. Both the victims had sustained severe injuries to their heads.

Jayaprakash wore helmet. But the helmet was crushed into pieces.Kritish was the son of police Head-constable Yogish Padakannaya who got killed in mob violence a month ago before his death. The only wish Kritish had was to provide justice to his dad..He wanted the department to have a thorough investigation..But Kritish too died in a road accident the very next month. The Padakannaya case even today remains a mystery ..the miscreants are not punished..after all who cares ?one who cared for his dad is dead and gone ..how sad , we move on easily with our life..
