Mumbai, Jan 13: The makers of Rani Mukerji-starrer Mardaani have unveiled the trailer of the third instalment of the popular franchise, with the actor reprising her role as the fearless and uncompromising cop Shivani Shivaji Roy.

In Mardaani 3, Shivani joins the National Investigation Agency and is assigned to probe the kidnapping of two young girls. As the investigation deepens, she uncovers a vast human trafficking network led by an elderly woman named Amma, portrayed by Mallika Prasad. The trailer reveals that the accused buys girls from across the country for Rs 10 lakh each and injects them with a substance to render them unconscious.

The narrative soon expands beyond trafficking, with Shivani discovering links to a larger beggar mafia. Several disturbing visuals underline the gravity of the crime, including a scene where a rescued girl is shown coughing up blood in a hospital.

Confronting the main accused, Shivani delivers a powerful line, saying she is a cop who does not take bribes but instead delivers justice without mercy. The trailer shows her racing against time to rescue multiple girls trapped in the brutal racket.

Sharing the trailer on social media, Yash Raj Films said, “It is a race against time & there will be no mercy. Shivani Shivaji Roy is back to rescue girls who go missing without a trace.”

The film also features Shaitaan fame Janaki Bodiwala in a key role. Mardaani 3 is written by Aayush Gupta, known for The Railway Men, and directed by Abhiraj Minawala. It is produced by Aditya Chopra.

While the first Mardaani highlighted the grim reality of human trafficking and Mardaani 2 focused on the disturbing mind of a serial rapist, the third instalment explores another dark and brutal facet of society. The film is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on January 30, 2026.
