Rome, May 4: Inter Milan have been crowned Serie A champions after a decisive 2-0 victory over Parma Calcio 1913 at San Siro, securing their 21st league title with three matches remaining.
The win ensured Inter could no longer be caught, following a nine-point cushion over second-placed SSC Napoli, who had earlier been held to a goalless draw by Como.
Inter struck late in the first half when Marcus Thuram finished a precise assist from Piotr Zielinski, giving the hosts a deserved lead after sustained pressure.

The victory was sealed in the 80th minute when substitute Henrikh Mkhitaryan converted from close range after being set up by captain Lautaro Martínez.
The triumph marks Inter’s second Serie A title in three seasons and represents a major achievement for head coach Cristian Chivu, who guided the club to the championship in his debut season in charge. He became the first manager since Arrigo Sacchi to win the Scudetto in his first full season at the helm.
Chivu praised his squad’s resilience and determination, highlighting their ability to recover from setbacks and maintain focus throughout the campaign. Martínez also reflected on the journey, noting the team’s progress after narrowly missing out on silverware the previous season.
Elsewhere in Italy, AC Milan suffered a 2-0 defeat to Sassuolo despite playing much of the match with 10 men, while Juventus FC were held to a 1-1 draw by already relegated Hellas Verona.
The results have tightened the battle for Champions League qualification, with just nine points separating Napoli from sixth-placed AS Roma, which still has a game in hand. Meanwhile, Bologna and Cagliari played out a goalless draw in another Serie A fixture.
