Mangalore, Mar 12: Mangalore South SCC varado meet was held on Sunday March 11 at Nityadar Nagar Church from 9 am to 3.30 pm. Fr Gregory D'Souza the vicar forane presided over the function. Fr Walter D'Souza, the diocesan director of SCC was the resource person.

Fr Francis Crasta, SCC convenor of the varado was the main celebrant and the organiser of the event. Fr Reginald Pinto of Eliarpadau, Fr Stany Pereira of Fajir, Fr Valerian Frank of Ammembal, Fr Ajit from Permannur, were present.

The importance of service in SCC ward gatherings was the main topic of the input session. Parish SCC convenors explained the growth of SCC of their respective parishes through an interview conducted by Felix D'Souza Ammembal, varado secretory of the deanery. Sufficient time was given for question answer session to clarify various doubts regarding SCC growth.

Fr Francis Crasta, deanery SCC convenor welcomed the gathering, Lancy Rodrigues, deanery SCC coordinator proposed the vote of thanks and Felix D'Souza compered the programme.

Around 300 participants were present from ten parishes, mostly parish pastoral parishad members.
