Mangalore, Jan 18: After having nabbed 7 accomplices of a notorious underworld don, which included 4 college students, the Dakshina Kannada police are now on search for one David alias Asif alias Shaji alias Boxer, the main link between the said underworld don and his accomplices in the city.

The police have issued a search warrant against David. The man in news hails from Kollam in Kerala.  Though the special squad set up by DK Superintendent of Police B Dayanand went to Kollam in search of him, it was found that he is not in Kollam at present.  But a detailed police enquiry revealed that there are 6 cases such as assault, theft, rape, riots etc against his name from 2003 to 2006. 

He is also wanted by police in a murder case in the Hosdurga police station of Kasargod in 2004. The Bekal police are in search of David in connection with the case of an assault on police personnel.  The police are also trying to fathom his criminal roots spread across the state of Kerala.

The police in cooperation with the Kerala police have published his photo for the public and have requested to contact the DK police on following numbers, in case if someone and somewhere he is spotted.  Following are the numbers to be contacted:
