Mangalore, May 7:  Sachin Tendulkar laid low by injuries and below par performance has turned to divine help. Even as the Board of Control for Cricket in India is doing everything in its powers to help Sachin Tendulkar in his recovery, the player himself is seeking divine grace.

Sachin Tendulkar, Indian team's batting mainstay for long, came down to the land of temples on Saturday seeking solutions for "Naga Dosha" that he reportedly has.

Since Sachin and the rest of his family could not get tickets on the same flight from Mumbai, they arrived separately and immediately left for Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala.

The family on Saturday had darshan of Lord Manjunateshwara there.

After meeting the family of Dr Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala, Tendulkar and his family left for the Kukke Sri Subramanya Temple. They are expected to participate in various rituals at the temple on Sunday and Monday.

The rituals, including "Sarpa Samskara, Nagapratishte and Ashlesha Bali," will be performed on behalf of the player by temple priests, according to temple sources.

During his visit Tendulkar is also expected to meet Sri Vidyaprasanna Teerta of Sri Subramanya Math.

Tendulkar's visit evoked a lot of media interest. However, he chose to avoid the media. People traveling with him on this trip said he was on a personal visit and was not keen on interacting with the media or disclosing his itinerary during the two-day visit.
