Mumbai, Mar 26: Cricketer Virat Kohli who was caught out with just one run to his name, and more so at a time when India was betting on him, has made a lot of people blame his pathetic show on his girl-friend Anushka Sharma.

Actress Anushka Sharma who flew down to support her boyfriend and cheer for her country is presently at the receiving end of a lot of displeasure and anger for India losing the match against Australia. Former India captain Saurav Ganguly however has questioned the fairness of all the hate directed at the actress just because she is dating a sportsman. He said, "What wrong Anushka has done? She had only gone to see a cricket match like the families of other players. It is unfair to blame him for Kohli's performance. It is the immaturity of people (criticising Anushka)"

The loss of the match, saw many an Indian cry at the stands. Kamal R Khan on his twitter page, asked fans to throw stones at Anushka Sharma's house who he felt was the prime reason for India's defeat.

Ganguly though had a more practical approach to the reasons behind India losing the match.

He explained that Ravindra Jadeja did not bring in his A game, while Mohit Sharma, he felt was not as good as people believed him to be.

He also said, "That is the difference of India as compared to other countries. You see Australia has the likes of Glenn Maxwell or Mitchell Johnson who can take wickets and scored runs at the tail of the batting order. We don't have them,"
