Mangalore: Thieves Decamp with Gold worth Rs 1.5 Lac at Kolya

Mangalore, Nov 8: A theft of gold ornaments worth Rs 1.5 lac from a house at Kolya near Thokkottu was reported on Wednesday November 7 morning.

The house belongs to a certain Kiran. The thieves decamped with gold bangles, ring and 2 chains worth Rs 1.5 lac.The thieves gained entry into the house by breaking the window bars. The theft might have occurred in the night, sources informed.

Interestingly, Kiran's family was fast asleep when the theft took place.  However, it is strange that no one got the scent of the thieves, though thieves ransacked the cupboards searching for valuables.
 
Ullal police have visited the spot and registered a case, in this regard.
