Mangalore: Congress Minority Cell to Hold Training for Hajj Pilgrims

Mangalore, Nov 9: The minority cell of District Congress Committee (DCC), has organized a farewell cum training programme for Hajj pilgrims on Monday, November 12 in Town Hall here.

Speaking to media persons, B A Moiddin Bava, president, DCC minority cell, said that a training programme has been organized to give necessary guidelines for the Hajj pilgrims of undivided Dakshina Kannada. Moreover a farewell function is also going to be held, he informed.

Udupi district Khazi, Bekala Ibrahim Musliyar will give the necessary guidelines to these pilgrims. The programme will be presided by the city assistant Khazis Abdul Jabbar Musliyar and Syed Fazal Koyatammatangal Kura and Asyed Zainul Abdin Tangal, who will bless the occasion. DCC president Ramanath Rai and former MP Vinay kumar Sorake will be present on this occasion, he added.

On the occasion, clothes distribution ceremony will also be held for the poor Christian families, during the community festive season – Christmas. Programme for the Jain community will be organized soon, Moiddin Bava informed.

At the same time, he released the list of block presidents of Congress minority cell in the district. Mohammed Kunhi Goonadka (Sullia), Mohammed Badagannur (Puttur), H Adam (Kadaba), Lathif Vogga (Bantwal), Khalid Yusuf (Gurupura), Latheef Saheb (Moodbidri), Jessy Pinto (Mulki), Khader Jokatte (Suratkal), Mohammed (Mangalore North), Lancy Serrao (Mangalore South), Denis D’Souza Thokkottu (Ullal), D K Hamza Manchi (Panemangalore), Umar Kunhi Musliyar (Belthangady), V M Joseph (Uppinangady) and B V Martha (Vittal) have been selected for various blocks.

Congress leaders M G Hegade, Wilfred Saldanha, Ibrahim Kodinjal, Pushparaj Jain, Ivan D’Souza and Idinabba were present on this occasion.
