M'lore: Man from Farangipet Assaulted by Unidentified Men

Mangalore, Nov 13: One Nasir Hussain (38), a resident of Faringipet is battling for his life, hovering between consciousness and unconsciousness at a local hospital here in the city after being brutally assaulted by unidentified men on Monday November 12 night.

According to informed sources Nasir Hussain was attacked with scimitars by a group of unidentified assailants in the late hours of Monday, in front Ganesh Medicals at Kankanady here. He was so badly hacked, that it left deep bruises and wounds all over his body.

The victim Nasir Hussain was immediately rushed to the Highland hospital at Falnir, the nearest hospital in the vicinity. He is currently in the intensive care unit of the hospital and his condition is stated to be very serious.  

Nasir had come to the city to visit one of his relatives’ who was admitted in a city hospital.  As he was walking towards the hospital after getting down from the KSRTC bus at Karavali circle, a group attacked him with scimitars.

The motive behind the attack, is at this point not known. The Mangalore rural police have in the meantime registered a case. Investigation into the matter has already begun.
