Mangalore: Computer Training for KVGB Personnel held at AIBA

Mangalore, Nov 13: Computer training programme for Karnataka Vikas Grameena Bank personnel organized by Aloysius Institute of Business Administration and Aloysius College of Computer Science was inaugurated on Monday November 12 at AIBA premises here.

Syndicate Bank former chairman Dr N K Thingalaya inaugurating the programme asked the staff of grameena banks to reach out to the poor farmers of the state by giving them subsidies and loans. Stating that foreign banks which are going to make an entry into the Indian banking system would set up micro financing facilities charging very high percentage of interest, Thingalaya said that the grameena banks should be the first ones to offer such loans at a minimal interest and thus help the rural masses.

Dhananjaya, the chairman of K V G B, who presided over the function said Grameena Bank that has its branches spread across the state has been doing excellent service to the rural people. S P Kulkarni, regional manager KVGB, Kumta welcomed the gathering. Fr Denzil Lobo SJ, director of AIBA and AICS was also present.
