Bengaluru, Sep 7: Kannada small screen actor, Harish (26), who was suffering from jaundice, breathed his last on Tuesday September 6. As jaundice had aggravated, he had suffered from multi organ failure recently and had been in coma for some days.

Harish was in the intensive care unit of Victoria Hospital here since about a week. His funeral was conducted at his native place, Chitradurga, on Tuesday evening.

Harish had earned recognition through the portrayal of Siddarth Patil's role in the tele series, 'Aragini'. He had also acted in two more TV series, 'Amma' and 'Om Shakti Om Shanti'. He was in the lead in 'Om Shakti Om Shanti'.

Harish had lost his father at a young age, and his mother had died a few years back. He is survived by a brother, a large number of relatives and thousands of fans.

Sources close to Harish claimed that delayed/wrong diagnosis robbed Harish of his life. He had got admitted into a private hospital in R R Nagar here some days back because of acute stomach pain. The doctors there had diagnosed his problem as appendicitis and had administered pain killers, saying that he would have to wait for several days before surgery could be conducted. He went to Chitradurga to take rest. There, he decided to get the surgery done, but when he went to a local hospital and got medical tests done, the doctors said he had no appendicitis.

As his fever increased later, he was admitted into a private hospital at Basaveshwara Nagara here. There, the doctors found that he was suffering from jaundice, but it was too late.
