Kundapur, Jan 4: The third district CPI (M) conference was held at Gandhi Maidan here recently.

Speaking on the occasion the member of the state polite bureau Nithyananda Swami said that it was a sad commentary on the Indian democracy that parties with no respect for the democratic norms were getting stronger day by day as the recent elections held in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh would reveal.

Gujarat will be a laboratory for experimenting with the communal politics, Nithyananda said. Another member of the State polite bureau participating as chief like reliance were hell- Benton reducing the number of labuorers with the slogan let products be produced anywhere, the brand name should be theirs, he said and added that in this regard there could be no difference between BJP and the Congress.

Earlier a mammoth rally was organized and certain resolutions were passed by the conference at the close. District secretaries K Shanker, P Viswanath Raj and Dasa Bhandary were present on the occasion. Chandrasheaker V welcomed the gathering. Mahabala proposed the vote of thanks.
