M'lore: Photo Expo of Mount Kailash, Manasa Sarovar to be Held

Mangalore, Jan 4:  SGL Tours and Travels, Bangalore, will be organizing a photo exhibition on Mount Kailash and Manasa Sarovar (Manasa Lake) which lies on Himalayan glacier, at Dyana Mandir of Sharada Vidyalaya, Kodialbail, here on Saturday, January 5.

Cap Ganesh Karnik, MLC, will inaugurate the exhibition in a function which would be presided over by M Maheshwar Rao, Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada, he briefed.

The idea of organizing the photo exhibition has been conceived mainly to clear the general notion that taking the tour to the abode of Lord Shiva at Mount Kailash is not safe.  Moreover, trekking to the point brings one eternal experience, which would be cherished forever. Conveying the people of the pre requisite for the tour, namely, warm clothes, food and other essentials, was the prime objective of displaying the photographs of successful tours, stated AR Aloor, proprietor of S G L Tours and Travels, here at the press conference on Friday, January 4.

The package tour to Mount Kailash and Manasa Sarovar, costs Rs 89 thousand per person. It will be a twelve day tour. South Indian food will be served during the tour. The total intake will be 45 persons per batch while security measures are well taken care of. No batch will be accompanied by handymen, rather sharpas will take care of the tourists, he added.
