Udupi: Petition Filed on Paryaya Ascension

Udupi, Jan 5: Two persons, C.H. Nagaraj Rao and Harish Bhat of Udupi, have filed a petition before the Additional Civil Judge (Junior Division) Cheluvamurthy here on Thursday urging the court not to allow Sugunendra Tirtha Swamiji of Puttige Math to ascend the Paryaya Peetha and sought an injunction on Puttige Seer worshipping Krishna at Sri Krishna temple/math.

The judge, Cheluvamurthy, has given the advocate, A. Sripati Acharya, of the first defendant Sri Sugunendra Tirtha Swamiji, time till Monday to file objections. Vidyasagara Tirtha Swamiji of Krishnapur Math is the second defendant.
