Mangalore, Mar 14: SDM Law College here will host a workshop on 'Intellectual Property Rights' on Thursday March 20, stated a press release.

The workshop will be organized by the state council for science and technology, Bangalore and state council for technological upgradation in association with district industries centre and Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI).

The release stated that intellectual property is a product of creative and inventive activity of human mind and is akin to any other movable or immovable property. Protection of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) plays a key role in preventing unauthorised use of a person's creative work.

The objective of the workshop is to create awareness on various forms of IPR. The workshop is aimed at students, teachers, entreprenuers, scientists, industrialists, innovators, researchers and others, stated the release.
