Udupi, Mar 14: Policemen should develop the ability to adjust to any circumstance and should not behave as if they are the super heroes just because they don the uniform, said Dr D V Guruprasad, Inspector General of Police (recruiting and training).

He was speaking during the passing out ceremony of third batch of trainee policemen, which was held at district police grounds on Thursday March 13.

Even the doctors and engineers are expressing their interest to join police department.  The police uniform awarded by the government and society is to protect the civilians who seem to have lost trust on police department, owing to the ill-behaviour of policemen in certain cases.

SP of Dakshina Kannada Satheesh Kumar, Western Range IGP Ashit Mohan Prasad were also present.

Shivakumar, Krishna Gowda, Ravikumar and Swamy were adjudged excellent trainees.

SP of Udupi Devjyoti Roy welcomed the gathering. Karkala ASP Girish proposed the vote of thanks.
