Puttur: Accused absconding since 24 years arrested

Puttur, Nov 1: Puttur city police have arrested a person, accused in the case of an attempt to outrage the modesty of a woman that took place 24 years ago. He had been on the run since 1993.

Ananda, son of Eerayya, resident of Kodagu district is the person who has been apprehended. A case had been registered against him on June 19, 1993 at Puttur city police station for outraging the modesty of a woman at Dinesh Bhavan lodge.

Accused Ananda had been absconding and had not attended any court hearings. Puttur court has issued an arrest warrant against him.
