Mangaluru, Feb 1: Dakshina Kannada district unit of JD(S) has severely condemned senior Congress leader and former union minister, B Janardhana Poojary, for projecting former Karnataka chief minister, S Bangappa, in poor light in his autobiography.

In a media statement, president o Dakshina Kannada youth JD(S), Akshit Suvarna, and city (south) assembly constituency president, Vasant Poojary, termed Poojary's derogatory comments about Bangarappa, who it said happens to be one of the leading Billava personalities, and senior statesman who strove for the upliftment of backward classes, as an insult to the admirers and fans of the late Bangarappa. He demanded that Poojary should revise his autobiography duly deleting the incident attributed to Bangarappa.

Trough a release, JD(S) youth unit said that Billava community and backward classes have been distressed at the way Bangarappa has been referred in his autobiography by Poojary and condemned the same.
