Mangaluru, Feb 12: The 38th All India Major Ports Lawn Tennis Tournament organized by NMPT under the banner of Major Ports Sports Control Board concluded at NMPT recreation club premises on February 10. Deendayal (Kandla) Port Trust emerged as the overall champions and Vishakhapatnam Port Trust bagged the runners-up.
The tournament was simultaneously conducted at NMPT officers’ club premises and recreation club premises from February 8 to 10.
The results are as follows:
Suresh P Shirwadkar, chairman in-charge and president of New Mangalore Port Sports Council presided over the function. Seema Shirwadkar, president of NMPT Mahila Samaj distributed the prizes. A V Harinath deputy CEO and general secretary of NMPSC was the guest of honour.
