Mangaluru: Lions Music Academy organises band competition

Mangaluru, Feb 14: Band competition 'Fusion' was organised on Tuesday February 13 by the Lions Music Academy in association with Lions Club, here, Lioness Club and Leo club Mangaluru at Lions Seva Mandir here.

HR Harish, district governor, Lions, Mangaluru inaugurated the event while Walter Nandalike, founder, Daijiworld Media Group, Ronal Gomes, elected district governer (next tenure), Sandeep Malani, movie director, Lions Music Academy, Nancy Mascarenhas, president, Lioness, Abhinav Kini, president, Leo Club and Venkatesh Baliga were present on the dais.

In his inaugural speech H R Harish said, "Nowadays singing and music competitions though common on TV and other entertainment media, its concept has not yet lost its charm. People expect music in various forms and love music. Every year Lions Music Academy organises this competition to encourage music talents which is appreciable. These events will undoubtedly help music talents to increase their confidence level."



Congratulating the participants, Walter Nandalike said, "Talents must always be showcased on these kinds of stages to exhibit one's ability. Confidence must be proved through competitions. Through competitions, flaws will be rectified with new ideas and tips from experienced judges."

Many musical bands participated in the competition and St Aloysius band secured the title.

Shanthi Shenoy, co-coordinator, Lions Music Academy compered the event.
