Bishop Angelo Gracious Presents Excellence Awards at CCCI AGM

Mumbai, Sep 15: The sixth annual general body meeting of the Christian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) was held on Saturday September 13, at Hotel Kohinoor Continental.

Bishop Angelo Gracious was the guest of honour, who presented excellence awards to Denzil D'Souza of P N Writer and Company (industry), which was received by Garifield D'Souza in his absence. Ronald H Mendonca, retired commissioner of metropolitan police (public service), and Adolph Tragler (social service), were the other awardees.



CCCI chairman Vincent Mathias welcomed the gathering and delivered the keynote address. Besides Mathias, deputy chairman John D'Silva, Henry Lobo and Albert W D'Souza were present on the dais.

Directors Lawrence Coelho, William Sequeira, Angelo Rajesh Ataide, Johnson Therettil, Randolph Alves, Antony Sequeira, Augstino G Fernandes, committee advisors Antony Rasquinha, A P Kurian, Daniel Fernandes, J Arthur Prem, Aloysius Aguar, advertisement and legal advisor Pius Vaz, CCCI secretary Alphonsus Corda, Vishwanath U Mada, vice-president of Jayasrikrishna Parisara Premi Samiti, Dharmapal U Devadiga, president of Devadiga Sangh of metro, Lawrence D'Souza, president of Maharashtra state All India Christians' Union, and B D Shetty of Bunts Chamber of Commerce and Industry, were present.



The function was attended by a large number of CCCI members and well-wishers. After the meeting, special games were held for ladies. Kenneth Sequeira and Richard Pereira compered the programme. Chamber executive secretary S S Swamy proposed the vote of thanks.
