Mangalore, Jan 9: The Parish Feast of the Sacred Heart Church Suratkal was celebrated on Wednesday January 7. The celebrations got a start on Sunday January 4 with the mass that began at 4 pm.  After the mass, the Eucharist was taken in a procession through the main road.

After the Eucharistic blessing, ‘Bokro,’ a play by Nellu Permanur was enacted, followed by a feast sponsored by Apolian Pinto and Family.

On Tuesday January 6, Vespers and Candle light procession with the statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus was taken out. On Wednesday, the Parish Feast was held. The mass began at 10 am. Parish priest of Milagres Church Fr Walter D'Mello was the main celebrant. Vicar Var of Pezar Deanery   Fr John Mendonca, parish priest Fr  Antony Lobo and various other priests were the co-celebrants. 

Apolian Pinto, Sunil Pinto and Socia Pinto were the sponsors.
