Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore (RS/SP)

Mangalore, Jan 10: Demanding the immediate arrest  of the  miscreants who assaulted a local  advocate Dinesh Hegde Ulepady, members of  Mangalore Bar Association refrained  from court work on Friday January 9.

Association members pressed for the immediate arrest of the miscreants. After deciding  to refrain  from the  court work, the lawyers  came out  from courts in the morning and  gathered  in front  of the court before spelling out  the above  demand.

Bar Association president S P Chengappa said, assaulting an  advocate  is an attack on  justice  and hence urged the  policemen to arrest the miscreants involved soon. He also warned that the lawyers would launch an agitation in case the assailants are not nabbed soon.

Ulepady was assaulted on January 7 by unknown miscreants  after which, he was  admitted to hospital with minor  injuries.

Definetely the life is precious. It is upto the state to  safeguard the citizens from  miscreants. A massive counter attack on assaultng miscreant by police will signal bad elements to realize that it  is not easy to keep assaulting people .
