Mangalore, Jan 10: The religious meeting connected with the 'Astabandha Brahmakalashotsava' was held at Lord Mahalingeshwara Temple of Kavoor on Friday January 9.

Delivering the benedictory speech on the occasion, Sri Vishwesha Teerta Swamiji of Pejawar Math said that temples are the centres where one can get himself purified of the filth that gets accumulated internally. Therefore, every one must visit the temples daily, he advised.

Presiding over the function, Dr D Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Sri Dharmastala Manjunateshwara Temple, said that a person who dedicates himself to the task he is engaged in with determination and total concentration does not get exhausted. On the contrary, it is difficult to execute and complete a work when the total involvement of the concerned and interest is found wanting, he analyzed.

Manmohan Malli, president, Brahmakaloshotsava Committee, delivered the key note address on the occasion.

Ajit Kumar Rai Malady, committee honorary president, welcomed the gathering.

Srinivas Bhat, general secretary, Mohan Prabhu Kavoor and Dr Asha Jyoti Rai were present on the occasion.
