Kundapur, Jan 11: Renowned south Indian singer Jesudas visited Kollur Mookambika temple on Friday January 9. Various special pujas were performed on his behalf to the deity, as part of his 69th birthday that falls on Saturday January 10.
Jesudas' wife Prabha Jesudas and other family members accompanied him on his visit to Kollur.
Krishna Prasad Adyantaya, managing trustee, K N Govinda Adiga, trustee, S L Maruti, executive officer and Krishnamurty, department official were present on the occasion.
He later participated in a devotional musical programme organized in the temple. His singing succeeded in stirring up devotional fervour among the large number of devotees who had gathered in the temple.
