Mangalore: Dr Na D Souza to Chair Educational Sahitya Sammelan at Mudipu

Mangalore, Jan 13: Renowned Kannada litterateur, intellectual, columnist and novelist Dr Na D Souza has been chosen  to preside over the  'Educational Sahitya Sammelan' that will be held at Mudipu Jnanadeepa Higher Primary School here on Saturday January 17.  It is being  organized by Dakshina Kannada (DK) district Kannada Sahitya Parishat.
 
Educational Sahitya Sammelan will be inaugurated on Saturday, with the taking out of the  procession of Kannada Bhuvaneshwari with due emphasis on the role of education in rural development.  Veteran educationists, litterateurs and important persons involved with  rural development  will attend the Sammelan. 
 
Reception Committee of the  Sammelan has been formed with Jnanadeepa Higher Primary School headmaster Manjunat S Revankar as its chairman to oversee  preparations, stated a  press release issued by the DK district Kannada Sahitya Parishat president S Pradeep Kumar Kalkura.
