Udupi, Jan13: Umavathi (23), a teacher from the town, committed suicide on Monday January 12, at the home of her husband located in Indrali near here. She was working in Mukunda Krupa school.
Umavathi had married Gurumurthy, a KMC employee, eight months back. The Manipal police who registered the case of unnatural death said, that the teacher was frustrated over her health problems, as a result of which she chose to end her life.
The school for she worked, declared holiday yesterday.
