Bangalore: DVS Rubbishes Rumours of Resignation

Daijiworld Media Network - Bangalore (SP)

Bangalore, Feb 11: Some private television channels had, in their news bulletins aired on Tuesday February 10, claimed that MP D V Sadanand Gowda had resigned from his post as the state president of the BJP and that he had left the ongoing national executive meeting of the party being held in Nagpur halfway through, to return to Bangalore.

"There is no need for me to resign from my position as the state BJP president till my term comes to a close. No such occasion has arisen. The news of my resignation is baseless," he reacted. He added that he is grateful to the channels which keep him in the news by airing supportive and scandalous reports about him continuously.

"I came back a day earlier from Nagpur because of my private commitments. There is nothing to assign special meaning to my return. As of now, there is no proposal to resign from the post," he clarified.
