Mangalore: Beary Monthly ‘Masada Nilavu' Released

Mangalore, Feb 11: 'Masada Nilavu,' monthly being newly-brought out in Beary language, was released by Central Beary Parishat president M B Abdul Rahman at a simple function held in the Patrika Bhavan here on Tuesday February 10.

Speaking after releasing the monthly, Rahman noted that city is the capital of Beary community and wished that the monthly in Beary language, being published in Kannada script from the capital of the community, will succeed.

"Masada Nilavu' means full moon. It is the first publication to be brought out in Beary language and this monthly will contribute to the development of language," he said.

Journalist Hussain Katipalla, who is the editor of ‘Masada Nilavu’, welcomed the gathering.

Vijayakumar Shetty, former MLA, Vaman Nandavar, litterateur, B M Mumtaz Ali, working president, All India Beary Parishat and others were present.
